Omelet door user question

Does anyone use the Omlet door in a covered run? Does it seem to sense the light okay? TIA

People use them in runs and in shaded areas, I don't think I've heard of any issues with the light sensors not picking up in the shade. Personally I think there are better designed auto doors than that one, but if you want it go for it. Those have a wired panel, so likely you could just extend the wiring to place it in a good location if it didn't work.

It's already installed and waiting on the arrival of the feathered friends in 2 more weeks....it can't get here soon enough!!

Yes I have it in a covered run, but I have the controls outside of the run so I can access it. I usually schedule it by time not light.
