OMG A PIP!!But their is a HUGE PROBLEM...HELP!! (PICTURE)!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He's fine--I have had tons of eggs hatch with the little thermometer on top. If you really want to move it, just take a straw and stick it through the vent plug holes and try and knock it off.

Okay, I totally don't see what the OP is talking about...I don't see that the thermometer is even close to being on top of the egg - why am I not seeing it?

Those LG thermometers have large plastic frames on them, they're clear. She's right, it's on top of it.

the thermometer is stapled to a clear plastic sheet about 3 x 5 inches. Thats why U dont see it........Congrats on your hatching eggs.

OP.. Don't worry about it, your baby will be fine. They manage to squeeze out with a HEN sitting on top of them, they can handle this.

And as for bantams being weaker? Hardly, my bantams pip, zip, hop out of the egg and demand a latte, usually in under 24 hours.. sometimes as quickly as five minutes. They're hardy, they fight, and don't think for a minute they're weaker!

Your baby should be fine.

And opening the vent isn't a big deal. You should do it, don't worry about humidity escaping.
