OMG Cheeping in my incubator!! (Updated: Pips)

Ducklings aren't due until Sunday, but I just heard cheeping from my incubator! Wooooottt!!

I just checked them and about half are internally pipped. They are now locked down. Can't wait to start seeing pips!!

Edited to add: This is not, by far, my first hatch. It just doesn't ever get old, lol. It is, however, at 21 eggs, my largest to date and probably the largest I will get to do for a while, because I'm running staggered hatches in my 42-egg Hovabator, and no budget for a new incubator yet...

Congratulations... An early suprise. Hope they hatch well for you.

I too use hovabators- one as a hatcher- and have to stagger my hatches. No way I could handle 40 or so ducklings all at once. So I had some Pekins hatch last weekend...Quail due about today...Runners next week , and the week after and the week after that... So much more fun to have them each wek or so.

What breed have you got in there???? You are going to post pics when they do hatch arent you??? As much as I love hatching my own- I love seeing other people pics of hatchlings too.

Runners in there. And more pips! Four so far, out of 21 eggs. Not due till Sunday, but these little guys are evidently overachievers.

Thanks for the congrats and YES there will be pics. Of course, I'm not keeping a single one of these, but it's still exciting.
