OMG! FINALLY BABIES! --Update: Cinco has arrived!--

SURPRISE! A sixth chick, Seis, hatched today

Cinco was already staying with me in my house because his broody mama was not taking good care of him, and Anna was not interested in adopting him, so when my dad called to inform me a new chick had appeared in the brooder and was struggling with its mother's neurotic behavior, the solution was simple. Cinco and Seis are now living comfortably in my craft room, getting lots of care and attention from their new mama hen--me.

what beautiful babies and one sweet mama. Anna didn't puff up, or growl or peck you, she let you look under her for chicks. As I said ONE SWEET MAMA. What a joy she is!

Anna's the best. The other broody, O'Brien, is also calm about me handling her (Which is surprising, because she's scared to death of me when she's not broody), but she doesn't take good care of her chicks. Hence, I have Cinco and Seis living in my office for a while.
