Man am I happy. He is all fluffed out and doing good so far. I moved him to the brooder cause he was knocking the other eggs all over the place. I gave him a stuffed animal to snuggle cause he is alone for now. He has pooped and I tapped by his food to sound like pecking and he came over and ate some food. I dipped his beak in the water but so far I havent seen him drink on his own, but I havent been watching very closely as I have 3 more pips and I've been keeping a close eye on them. I am very encouraged that he/she may just make it.

On another note: how the heck do you get the bandaid off. I tried dipping his bum in water but that didnt work. Should I just leave it till it falls off? I'm real curious to see how his belly is healing.

He turned out to be a she. Her name is Lucy and she is very healthy. Cant believe this worked. lol
