Omg her Eyeball

Not exactly sure what’s going on here. Started giving antibacterial eyedrops yesterday after we noticed this. Her eye was definitely not like this a few days ago. Thoughts?

Good gravy. It's either a severe infection, mycoplasma or a rapidly growing tumor.
Do you have any vets in your area?

Yes we have one vet that sees chickens. I’m going to take her in on Monday if I don’t see any improvement with the drops.

Poor girl! I think that definitely warrants a vet visit if you have the option. That definitely does not look comfortable.

There are so many things that could be going on there. My first thought is maybe something in her eye or another infection of some sort. Best of luck with her!

I would have to agree that it could be one of several things. The sooner the better on the vet. Do you see any peck marks? There is a whole lot of swelling, and the eyeball looks irritated. Do you see any sign of something stuck in the eye or under the third eyelid? What are the eye drops?

That’s kinda what I was thinking. It’s been so wet and mucky here and her feathers have been hanging around her eyes.

I believe it’s Ofloxacin. I had to get them from the vet for my other polish when she had some eye issues.
