I went to the feed store and got 6 banties. One of each one they had. The Seabright makes alot of noise. The OE and cochin and brahma and silkie are all very sweet. I love ones w feathered feet.

4 square feet per standard is probably playing it safe. Usually I would say put more(for me) because mine free range all day and only are in the coop to roost. I don't know about the bantams, I have only owned one and it was for a short while. You could always put more than the recommended amount and then start taking them out if they are too rowdy or overcrowded.

I decided 2 EEs 2 cochins and maybe some thin fancy like a sultan or d'uncle....that would make me have 12 chickens!!!OMG!!!exept theres always the posiblity of my 2 old 8yrs old dyin....my other 8yr old just died a month ago....and the possiblility of mean Roos....or hens...YEAH IM EXITED!!!
i started the proccess of mixing my silkies and others and so far so good...still some peckin but hey, they gotta establis whos boss
