It's a bread and butter machine!! It churns fresh butter while baking bread, and can also be used to make cheesecakes, cakes, pie fillings, pudding, fudge, pastry, pizza dough, bagels, breadsticks ...you name it! If it ever breaks i'll be heartbroken.

Ha! I think you'd rather I went through some trial and error first! We're trying to be more self sufficient this year, but we hadn't planned on cheesecake self-sufficiency until we found it! Now I just have to convince my husband that goat cheesecake can be good.

There are two versions of the same thing, I think one manufacturer bought the patent from the other.

Mine is the Toastmaster Corner Bakery Bread & Dessert Maker 1183, and there is also the Breadman TR888 Bread & Dessert Maker. I got mine for $43 brand new on Ebay. Target carry them for $79 but they are currently out of stock online. Hoegger Goat Supply are also out at the moment, but they have them for $85. I saw it in the Hoegger catalog first and thought the price must be a misprint as most of their home dairy stuff is expensive. It does only make enough butter for a family dinner at a time, but it takes just 30 mins! The leftover buttermilk is great for pancakes etc. I think it can make jam too! It comes with a big thick recipe book. Oh man I need to buy shares in this thing!
