You guys know I was kidding about the birth control question, right?
I do have other rooster questions, now that I seem to have one in the flock. I'll have to do some searching in the forums. I've had chickens for two years, but I've never paid much attention to rooster talk.
One question here, if I may ask. (I'll go looking in other threads for more rooster info after this, I promise. I know we've answered the question I came here with.)
I have two silkie hens in my flock of 9 (one of whom is now a rooster). Is this going to be a problem for the silkies? I mean, Connie is so much bigger than the silkies. Is he going to smoosh them flat when he tries to mount them? Sorry if that sounds like a dumb question, I just have no experience with roos. I'd like to try to keep Connie, but not if he's going to make life miserable for anybody else in the family.
