All I know is I have to see a rooster that looks like foghorn leghorn! LOL
and you could make some money selling some to Warno Bros company as a Foghorn Leghorn mascot or something

Krys,

In Holland in the friesian fowl there is a color called zandgeel = sandyellow.
This is a bleeched kind of buff with red enhanced hackles and tail.
The chairman of the lakenvelderclub crossed a buff leghorn with a lakenvelder and got a sandyellow looking roo by coincedence.
Unfortunately he doesn't understand genetics and he is trying to get rid of the gold base. This makes the hackles look more like a faint buff than red.
But he thinks he and another clubmember will be able to improve their product.
Fact remains that this is not the lakenvelderpattern but some sort of autosomal red on silver (or diluted gold) "buff" (columbian without black).

The most difficult thing will be to get the main tailfeathers consistently red. They tend to get silver/groundcolor

The large fowl roosters on the 1st link are pretty, but as you said the tail feathers still have that black in them. And the game cross is excellent for breeding a "foghorn". Im also impressed by the choc. lakenvelders and I hope you can complete your goal, those roosters would be beautiful!
I could perhaps see them making a few foghorn episodes using real life chickens, like the chickens used in "Babe" That would be really cool.
