OMG!!! My husbands clown fish just went in the garbage disposal!!!!

It was two of my biggest fear (next to moths..) Touching a live squirming gross fish with scales, and sticking my hand in the garbage disposal!!!! It was awful! I was changing his water, and as I scooped him up out the container he was in, he flopped out and into the sink, and before I knew it he was IN the garbage disposal!!!! The obvious thing would be to scoop him out, but I called my friend instead.. LOL. She helped me with some nice words of encourage, told me not to be lame and get him out.

I think he's still alive, I tossed him back in the water, and at first he sank. But I saw his gill moving, my friend assured me he was just stressed out from his near death experience. I hope so. I don't know how I would tell hubs his fish died because I was afraid to stick my hand in and get him. I squished the net so it would fit into the hole, and scooped him into it with a spoon...

Poor fishy. Imagine what he will tell his fish friends. snatched from the stilled blades of certain death...in darkness...and then from above...light...and a net...and a spoon. they will put him in the fish loony bin,ya know.

I had that happen to a betta. Hope he's ok!

I just looked him. He's upright. And just chilling in his little cave that he has...

My first reaction was to turn the sink on and just go get another one

Although if they didn't have any, or any of the same species.... But I'm glad I saved him. I think he'll be okay.

Seriously, I am glad it was OK! Whew! Good thing the button to the garbage disposer is elsewhere away from your hands. I would hate to see you get your hands chewed up by one of those things!
