all i can say it try to multitask? lol

my last hatch I had the temp spike to 114 for over an hour and still had a few eggs hatch... I think you should be fine with that small of a spike as long as it isn't over a long period of time...

Best thing to do is adj your bator then leave it for a bit then go back and check it like 20 mins later then SLIGHTLY adj again... then leave it alone for another 20-30 mins give it time to stabilize... constantly adjusting it will not fix it... they need a few mins to adjust and stabilize the temp before the reading is accurate...

I'm all over my bator tonight hoping for some pips... but nothing so far (they aren't due until tomorrow evening but I'm immpatient...) LOL

go take care of your puppy and it will take your mind off the bator for a while (giving it a few mins to stabilize)

Hugs!

its too early in the morning for this multi-tasking crap!!!

Not sure about the blood thing... but for temps stabilizing. If you have eggs in there, they retain lots of heat and can cause large hysteresis in readings. Meaning that you read it 103, turn the air down to 97, but if the probe is near an egg that heated to 101, or near the wall reading 96, you might turn the wrong way thinking it is right and make it worse. It can take a few hours for temps to become stable, more if there is a large quantity of water in the incubator.

Best of luck stabilizing the bator.
