OMG My Salvaged Egg is Chirping - UPDATE - It didn't make it

Thank you! It's been a long night. Still no signs of an external pip but still chirpping, tapping and the egg has been rocking, but just a bit.

I was worried about it drying out and then remembered I had a humidifyer. So I've managed to get a temp of 97-98' and a humidity level of about 65%, although I can't guarantee that it's entirely accurate. This has been completely rigged up.

So a few questions:
- am I getting the temp and humidity close to what it should be?
- how long does it ususally take from internal to external pip?
- is there any hope for this little one?

Thank you again,
MJ

YEAY!!!! My precious little egg just externally pipped!!! And "she" has a friend!! Momma abandoned a second batch of eggs and one had externally pipped. So into my makeshift bator it went!!

Now more waiting..... I need a nap!!

Any babies yet?

My solitary egg, situation same as yours was pipped externally for almost 24 hours exactly before he/she decided ti was time to stop messin around and come out!!

Well my Precious little bundle has started to unzip the shell!!! And she is chirpping up a storm!! I will post pics as soon as I can. Lighting is bad due to a red heat lamp, but I will do my best! I'm so excited!!!

The second egg that I added to my makeshift bator this morning is still alive and tapping away, just quiet for now! Will keep all posted on her progress.

Thank you all so much for your company and encouragement!!!!
