OMG My Salvaged Egg is Chirping - UPDATE - It didn't make it

Well, it's not a yellow yolk sac... more like a flat white something with veins attached to it and to the inside of the egg... should I be worried? I've never seen an egg hatch before so I don't know what to expect.

Thank you all for your help and encouragement!

It'll be fine let the baby dry off and fluff up and everything should be fine...good job, btw...

I looking forward to hearing an update and maybe seeing a picture!

congrats!

Well, the precious eep hatched last night between 9 and 930ish. It's dried off, but very week. Only one eye opens and it's still not up and moving on it's own two legs. It's still flops around. It's so sad. I don't think she'll make it. Is there anything I can do to help. Maybe some sugar water or something. This is all a first for me. I'll post a pic shortly. I need to download it from camera to pc to BTC site.

And the other egg has enlarged the pip hole after almost 18 hours. Will keep all posted.

Don't give up on the weak chick. I have had some look terribly weak and they are now running around the brooder and now i don't even know which ones had the problem. Some just need a little more post hatch rest time. Don't worry about food and water for now. They can live up to 3 days on the yolk sack they absorbed. Just keep the chick warm and it's really up to her to do the rest. Good luck!

I went to check in and it chripped loudly, thrashed about then gasped three times.

I'm sad.... But thank you all for helping me though this.

The only bright spot is the other egg... it enlarged it's pip hole this morning. Looks like I'm in for another long day.
