OMG OMG OMG I have a PIP!!!!!!!!!!!!

I GOT 2 PIPS!!!!
i'm trying to type this and they are about 8 feet away and i can hear them chirping so i have to keep getting up to see if there is more progress

Remember this: they pip to get fresh air, but then they take time to absorb the yolk and to draw the blood in from the vessels surrounding them. It can take a LONG time. I've often had them take 36 hours. It's excruciating waiting, but you can't hurry them.

If you tap on the incubator window, you can encourage them to perk up and that seems to accelerate their actions...but it may or may not actually speed up the process. It's not unlike waiting for a human baby to make up its mind to join us out here...

Talk to them and tap, but NO TOUCHY!!!

So happy for you. I have 6 eggs left out of 27 shipped eggs, I put them in the incubator 4 days before our power outage (power out for 3 days) It stinks but I'm glad I still have those 6
