I think we will keep him/her and when it gets old enough to decide on a gender we will try and find it a mate

I have been wanting some pekins anyway

and who knows we may buy a dozen pekin hatching eggs! The woman we got these from said this morning that they have some peking eggs if we want some...this chicken/duck math is horrible!

Again, in my LG, I got a 92% hatch rate. Congrats Yappette. I got me 33 new babies. Had 35, but two died. One I had to cull, and the other just died...

And the 8th one i am not sure he is gonna make it but we shall see!!! i took the rest of the eggs out of the bator and 4 were not fertile and the rest of the others just stopped developing. So im happy with my very first hatch More eggs on the way this week !! Was this a still air hatch Chris and were these shipped eggs or from your own hens?
