Compare to the store bought egg. I prefer hands down my tiny egg!

So beautiful... and large... wish my firsts were that big.

And that bucket... how ever does she lay in there? Is it screwed in somewhere to keep it from rolling??? Great idea for a nest box.

I have 4 buckets all screwed to a woodboard. I found the idea online, I can take the whole board with the buckets, dump the shavings and hose down the buckets to avoid lice and insects that would otherwise acummulate in the side cracks of regular nesting boxes. So, I gave it a try and they laid their first egg there today!

Will see if the others lay there too...
