Got the form from the Police filled out, have to fax it to my Insurance tomorrow and they will get an adjuster out. I already got an estimate from my Body Shop

Luckily, I have always seen it necessary to carry full insurance, lessons learned from my parents misfortunes, so all I will be out of pocket is $250 for the deductible.

You might not want to claim this on your insurance as it could up. Most have a two strike policy one given the next they will nail you hard.Might be cheaper to get a door from a wrecker.

Had a similar thing happen to me. I had our '05 truck hit in a parking lot and had no idea til I got home and my husband asked what I hit. Nothing.
The idiot hit my truck twice. You could see where their bumper hit one spot then again in another spot.

Called the police and went in the next day and filed a report and called the store where I was, but the camera did not cover the area where I was parked.
Luckily we had full coverage also. Policeman told me I was lucky that the airbags did not activate when I turned the key, turns out some people have been hurt because of that.
Crazy thing that happened is the body shop called me to bring the truck in, but I couldn't get away and that same night I hit a deer.

I just pulled into a CVS parkinglot and parked, an elderly couple pulled into the space in front of me... the driver pulled in until he hit my new HHR SS... I guess he decided he needed to stop... they then started to get out of their car to go shopping... while I was standing there trying to look at my front end, I had to say wait a minute you need come back here to move your car!! When he did, he moved it an inch, I had to keep waving and say move it more, move it more... until they finally got about a foot away... They didn't even know they hit me. Luckily it didn't do an damage, just pushed the plastic bumper in and it popped back out. I wanted to b**** him out for not being even slightly aware of hitting me, but this darn respect for my elders thing kept getting in myway... that would have changed if there were any damage... but still.

Stopped at my mechanic, they have a body shop too and got an estimate....... almost $1000

Since this is a small town, I told my mechanic if someone comes in with paint matching my truck on their vehicle to call the cops and call me.
