that's pretty much how my hatches were going, ive reset my eggs in mybator though (had to clean it out had dirty incubator issue lol) so i cant attest if it's weird again but if i have early hatches again (and late hatches) it'll be interesting

Come to think of it, All of my hatches have been early this year. My first hatch was on day 18 for Chickens, and they all did very well. I have a Genisis, that runs at about 99.5-100, so the temps are good, the babies just seem to be impatiant, lol. I still only have the one baby so far, and 2 eggs pipped & Rockin. I'm just glad they are coming early and not late, I was so worried they would hatch while I was on vacation, and I would have to trust the dog sitter to watch out for them.

But if every egg is hatching early, I would still think it's a temp problem, no matter what incubator you have. You should get some of those $6 thermo/hygrometer combos from Walmart to make sure yours is accurate.

LOL, I have 2 of those Wal mart thermometer/Hygrometers in there usually, I only have 1 right now, because the other is in the Hatcher, but they both always read between 99.5-100.

Those things are the best working thermometers I have!!

How do you count your days? I go by (for chickens) 21 days after they were set. When I first started incubating, I was thinking 21 days=3 weeks, which it does. So I was figuring that all mine were hatching super early, when they were like 1 day at most usually. But if you count out 21 days on the calendar, it is 3 weeks on the day before they are set. For example, if you set the eggs on Monday, day 21 would be 3 weeks later on Sunday, and so on and so forth.

This unfortunately is not my problem.....I have no idea what is going on with my bator!! Mine is the genesis 1583, I assume yours is the 1588? So yours is pre-set, mine is the wafer thermo model. But it works very well, I'm just having goofy hatches. The only thing I can figure is that the fan is not working properly? That would account for some eggs hatching early while others hatch late.

These quail are hatching really really really weird. They were all set on the same day, but have been hatching since Monday. I am still getting 1 to 2 quail a day hatching out. This is the strangest hatch I have had ever. Was going to clean the incubator out today to set some chicken eggs in, opened the top and there were 2 more quails. We are up to 19 live and strong and lost 3. Plus 1 that has a club foot. WOW!!

Oh man, I hope mine don't hatch like that, they all must be done by Thursday! I'm going to worry about them my whole vacation.......

Whenever I've had large hatches of eggs set, they have always taken forever to hatch. I don't know if there are temp variances in the bator, or if it's because a large set of eggs would take a few days to gather. The longest hatch I have had so far took 5 days from start to finish.
