OMG!!! Why are sebastopols so expensive??

Well, last year was my first year of them laying eggs.

I hatched most of them myself because if you let them set right away, you get fewer eggs. Most of my females were first year layers also.

Only one of my gals decided to set and she accidently killed one of the babies by trying to help it out of the shell before it was ready. It lived one day only as the yolk was not absorbed and he got an infection. When that happened I took the other eggs away and one was infertile and the other hatched and is now known as "Duck, Duck Goose".

It runs with the ducks and has not yet joined up with the flock of sebbies.
