Omlet automatic door motion sensor

Hi all,

I don't know if we made a mistake with calibrations or it's a defect with our Omlet automatic door. My students installed the door this morning, and while we were testing out the motion sensor it did not work. They even lightly pushed on the door but it kept closing. Is there something we did wrong or is it possible a defect? Has anyone else had the same issues with this door? Everything else seems to work perfectly fine.

I've had an Omlet door for awhile and the door's safety sensor works well. I have watched it try to close when a chicken was sitting in the doorway, it touches the obstruction and then opens back up. This door doesn't have motion sensors, it has a sensor that senses the obstruction. I would try testing it by placing an object in the door and then try to close it.

If you are still having issues, call the company, they have really good customer service.

I have this installed on the inside of the coop. No issues for the past two years. Now, any buildup of straw caused the door to open back up due to the obstruction. I just make sure it's kept clear.

I did a balloon test myself when I was worried mine weren't working. I was relieved to see it did not pop the balloon.
