On day 20 almost 21 of my first hatch

on his way out

I have hatched 4 or 5 times. I monitored very closely. When pips start becoming weak and not hatching after about 12 hours I help hatch egg. So far most of weak ones make it. Good luck. I am learning too

I wouldn't be yet. The earlier upset may have contributed to this guy hatching a bit earlier. The others are still running on time. Last time I had one hatch the end of day 21 and it went from pip to hatch in 2 hrs, another took 12 hrs. Hatch before one hatched day 25. They have their own schedules, we just have to do the really really hard bit and wait patiently

You are on day 22 right? Do you hear peeping? You can scratch a small hole in the top to allow air. But if you try to completely hatch at this point yolk may not be absorbed. I probably would not hatch it yet. Day 22/23 can still produce hatches.

Thanks everyone. Today is technically still day 21 till about 4pm EST. I saw movement in 4 eggs before lockdown when candling. I will wait till Sunday then toss them! I hear no peeps at all

What kind of Bator do you have? Are you confident that your temp was steady and accurate? Keep in mind that 21 days is an estimate. Just like human development of 40 weeks. Some will come early, some a little. Mine typically hatch on day 20 but on occasion I have batches hatch on day 22.

How many have hatched do far? How many are left that you had movement on? Sometimes you will not hear peeping. If you hold the egg to your ear you can hear clicking as they are attempting to pip the shell. I would not give up hope yet. Day 21 is too early for that. Now if it were day 24 that would be a different story.

It is a brinsea mini Eco I know the temps were stable the entire time but, not sure about the humidity because it doesn't have a humidity sensor. Since this is my first time hatching I left all 9 eggs in the bator even though I only saw movement out of 4 of them before lockdown. They are brown eggs so hard to see. The cracked egg is the only one to hatch so far and I pulled him out and put him in the brooder because no other eggs were pipping. I also put a wet paper towel in there to bring the humidity back up. I hope that was ok.
