On Day 3 of Incubation!!!!!

My very first incubation was done by borrowing that incubator you have from my neighbor. I really liked it, but I wound up going with Brinsea for the auto humidity. She had some add-on thing for hers I didn't try, though.

I have a squirt bottle I am putting in tray 1 for humidity every day or two. Keeping it between 45-55%. It seems to be working.

I'm on day 9. I've already taken out 8 eggs which did not seem to be alive and some were smelling really bad. I will have to candle again in a couple days of course. Sadly, I'm down to 17 eggs.

Friends! I cracked one fertilized egg turning them, uuuhhhgg! I put some masking tape over the cracked area, the shell is still in tact. Will this work? Anyone out there in the forum who might have knowledge about something random like this?

I’ve used liquid bandaid/liquid skin with good success. I’ve seen others use melted wax and even nail polish.

Glory to His Name, thank you, that is a good idea! I've already put masking tape on it, so I can't change now. I will update as things progress but I did pray for the egg today.....

There was a thread somewhere on here with a very severely damaged egg that someone taped all up and it did end up hatching!

I checked it today, still alive! I have 17 eggs still going. Some seem to be more developed than others, I'm not sure what that's about, but all are still alive right now 12 days in.
