I’m from around that part of the world, too (hence my screen name), that’s why it piqued my interestI am half Slovak on my mother's side. So, not Russia, but around that area.
Bulgaria.Where are you from, if I may ask?
The chicken egg is doing quite well as of yesterday! No sign of the high speed frantic swinging its brother did before he passed. So that's good. The others...well I don't know yet LOL. My Silkie hen went broody as well so she's sitting on 3 chicken and 1 coturnix egg... I have to keep shoving the coturnix egg under her though, she doesn't peck it but won't pull it in like she does with her and her sister's eggs.Well, so far, the egg hasn't broken during the night, so that's good.
There's a darker spot under the shell, like something might be starting to develop... here's hoping. No veins as of yet, but the darker splotch has gotten a bit bigger since last night.
How are your eggs doing, @PrincessKiara?
You're probably okay. The yolk does move around in my experience, at least before veining is really visible. It gets kinda fixed in place when the veining grows.I think that the splotch is the yolk... it seems to be loose in the egg, moving around if I turn the egg. I wonder if the membrane broke... it wouldn't surprise me -- a fox came by and nearly got one of my hens today, so I was doing a bit of high-speed running. Kinda bouncy, I'd imagine.
