? on fruit for Laying Hens

Can you give a hen peaches? I have heard it will make them stop laying.

I have never heard that peaches makes a hen quit laying but I know that giving a hen any citris [oranges, grapefruit, lemon, lime] fruits will.

I give mine citrus and have never had a problem....

I've never given citrus or peaches, though I do have some peaches aging in the fridge. On hot days, mine love frozen grapes, cut in half.

I think its an old wives tale that fruit makes them stop laying. I give my girls 2 bananas every day by hand. They love it and I get plenty of eggs.

I give mine peaches when they start to get past their prime(the peaches that is). The chickens love them.
