Welcome from the northern-side! Congrats on getting chickens. I am new to chickens this year too and ours just started laying last week. Isn't it fun?
 
Thank you thank you.. oh so much work but its so much fun. I just love to watch the chickens run about the yard. Jim the rooster is probably a better mouser than all the cats. He recently started to crow and he likes to announce his kills. lol the hens come running. I give them DE liberally to eat and dust bathe in so hoping I dont have a problem with them getting worms from this.
I am trying to get used to using this site so forgive me for late or non replies...
