She is an EE that is only about 8 months old. She just came out of a small molt about a month ago or so and I do not see any feathers about.

Well, by small I mean that I would find her feathers everyday on the ground for about two weeks straight, but never in a significant amount. I seem to have read before that about this age (6-9 months) around fall, they will sometimes do a patial molt their first year.
Is this not correct? If not I wonder why her feathers were all over. She is the dominate hen of the flock.
BTW. She did lay another egg yesterday and it was a little larger (55g) than all of her previous eggs (48g-53g). Maybe she is just gearing up for larger egg production?
