If I breed him to my partridge silkie hen, what are the color possiblities in the offspring? Could I get a grey?

Shelly, I would think you might get a calico type bird. My only experience was with a Black and Buff cross. It was an awesome looking roo looking much like a Black Copper Maran color pattern. It was very Bold with clean definition between the red and black.

Thanks jimnjay. I've got a black hen also, so maybe I'll just breed him to both and see what colors come out of them. I'm desperately searching for more silkie hens, as I've only got 2 hens with 2 roos. I've got 2 developing eggs in the bator right now from my girls, and collecting more. I can't wait to see what I get.

I am in the same boat right now. I have a blue Silkie boy in with Cuckoo Marans because I don't have any mature hens for him. My little Cochin Roo's mate is raising babies so he is alone too. I am so anxiouse to have some of the little pullets grow up.

The columbian pattern is definitely showing through the gray overtones. He looks great.
