I moved the survivors of my first shipment out to their coop this morning. I had hoped to keep them in until the second batch could go out to but they were bouncing the little ones around to much.
I opened the pop door, but put a wire screen in it so for the first 3 or 4 days they can see and smell and enjoy the weather, but will stay in the coop while they adjust to life without a heat lamp during the day.
Saturday morning I will take out the screen and they can come out into their run at their leisure. With the 3 day s weekend I can monitor them and make sure they are getting enough to eat and drink if they start to wnader around their run.
Peeking out the pop door.
