Chirping
I have (had) 12 chickens of various ages, all extremely healthy with beautiful feathers. NIna (pictured below) had a yucky vent when I did a check on Fluff-butt Wednesday, 11 days ago, and her tail was drooping as well. She had been heading into the pen roosting early, apart from the other girls for three days. On Thursday 10 days ago, she went to bed late afternoon. Friday she was dead on the coop floor.

This Wednesday a second hen was displaying similar behavior and had yuck around her vent. I gave her a warm Epsom bath last night to clean the vent area and placed her in the pen w the rest of the flock for the evening mush and milk before bed. All the girls free throughout the day.
this morning the second hen did not want to leave the coop initially, but eventually did. She’s spent the day under a cedar, not moving.
I assumed Nina, who went from heathy to dead so quickly might have done so because she got into the Rhubarb. Now w a second sick chicken in as many weeks, I’m worried it’s a bigger deal. I’ll isolate her tonight, but wonder if there’s a miracle drug.
