Our bronze hen paces frantically back and forth on the deck waiting for us to open the sliding glass door. Lulu makes these cute little tweeting noises (kinda like something from an alien) and looks so desperate to come inside. A few days ago we left the door cracked a bit too much (for our bunnies to come in and out) and she squeezed through only to find her on the kitchen counter!! I could tell something was up when she nested down and looked like she was in pain
Luckily she layed the egg on the kitchen towel so it was easy to clean along with the kitchen counter. After she was finished she jumped down, went back outside and began to eat on the lawn. No more noises for the rest of the day.
Almost on a daily basis she displays this behavior and will finally give up and lay her egg on the mat next to the sliding glass door. Kind of weird, right?
