Hello, I have a one day old baby Bard Rock chick. The Hen hatched one healthy and this sickly one. The sickly one had a very hard time emerging from its shell. Upon inspection there appears to be a brownish/red sac type protrusion from its rear end. Its very weak and isn't able to stand. I did bring it in and provided warmth. It managed to drink a few drops of water from my finger. It has then slept very soundly ever since. I have let it rest ever since and not disturbed it. Can anything else be done? Does this chick stand a chance at survival? It does "peep" periodically. It isn't bleeding from protrusion either.
