One Devil of an Algae Bloom

Algae loves nitrogen .... to grow it throw in some more chicken poop.... rich in NPK ... to kill it ..add water plants that take up all the nitrogen ...read up on natural pools .... nuking with chemicals short lived.... algae can live in a wide range of PH depending strand

Check for nitrates in your water. Excess nitrogen in water makes for bloom. Distilled water might help. Any algae eaters in the tank?

If there were, they are probably dead by now. This thread is 8 1/2 years old, and it looks like the OP hasn't visited the forum for at least 5 years
