One Early Hatcher on Day 19???

Yesterday, on day 18, I put my eggs in lock down and stopped turning them. Today... day 19... one of the eggs pipped this morning and is starting to zip at noon?? He's two days early! There are 12 in there and he is the only one doing ANYTHING, so I don't think it's a temperature issue. Just an impulsive chickie??? Will he be okay if he does fully hatch today?

Lots of folks will get an early chick once in a while. You'll just have to be patient for the rest.

Is it a smaller egg? Sometimes smaller eggs will hatch sooner.

Well, he's out and seems okay. I guess he'll be just really bored for the next couple days, waiting for the party to start!
