One eye closed, head down, lethargic

Update, we've been giving Mocha her eye drops since Friday evening and no noticeable improvement yet. :hmm

Every time we go to put drops in her eye, it is crusted shut. We have to apply warm water on it and work the lid gently for several minutes before we can get any of the drops in. I was hoping to see her eye start to open by now. I guess I just have to be patient. ? :idunno

I'm not giving up on her....

I'm sorry to hear this. I would call the vet's office to let them know how she's doing. The vet may want to try a different antibiotic or add a steroid drop. Steroids can work miracles. I'll continue to send good thoughts your way.:hugs

Mocha is doing better. Her eye is still closed but she has a lot more energy. I think she's finally on the road to recovery. She's not puffed up anymore and her tail is no longer down. She even took her first dust bath since the injury, yesterday in the run while the rest of the flock was out free ranging.

:yesss:
