One Eye is Crusty, Sometimes Bubbles.

Hello y'all!

My buff orpington, Corey, has one crusty eye.
The one eye seems watery, and sometimes has a few small bubbles in the corner of her eye.

she is acting completely normal except sometimes she'll rub that eye on back her shoulder area.
no one else in the flock is having this problem.

Any ideas?

That can be a sign of mycoplasma gallisepticum or MG, a chronic respiratory disease. It causes pinkeye, sinus infection, and may come back during periods of stress. Tylosin, an antibiotic that you may find for pigeons online, can treat symptoms. You may also clean the eye with a clean wet cloth, and apply Terramycin eye ointment from a feed store, or some plain Neosporin ointment twice daily. Possibly, though my vet told be Tylan or Tylosin can only be purchased with a vets prescription now, because people kept taking it as a human antibiotic.. At least in my state.

I wiped her eye off with a warm salt water mix and put some VetRX on her. The crust came right off, and her eyes look normal now, so i'll see how she is tonight.
