One eye open and one closed

My chicken has one of his eyes open and closed. Occasionally he will open both, but for a short amount of time. Is he sick??

my hen who is sick with sour crop keeps her eyes closed because she’s sick. does your chicken have any other symptoms?

No, I haven't seen him acting different.

His wattle recently got hurt, but i don't know if that's the reason

he might just be squinting from his wattle being hurt. if he got hurt fighting he could also have a black eye\some swelling around his eye

he could possibly just be in pain from his wattle injury

Ok, but the eye closed is opposite to the wattle, if that makes any sense.
