One eye shut/one open

cheeperchick, that does look like Fowl Pox to me, so sorry. On the bright side, its the Dry kind so losses should be minimal if any. Keep their coop clean though, you don't want them getting any infections because they will be more susceptible when they're trying to fight off the pox virus.

Thanks. I'm just wondering if the eye being shut/irritation is associated with the fowl pox. If it is, then I'm guessing it will eventually disappear on its own like pox on the comb?

I also wonder if some breeds handle the pox better than others, since my black stars' eye healed fairly quickly as compared to the buff orp.

Here's an updated pic of my Buffy. I put her back with the rest of the flock last week. She/he eats and drinks normally but and now opens the eye a lot more. I do notice that the eye has a cloudy part now kinda like a catarac. Pox completely gone. Should I worry about the cloudy eye if there's no change in behavior?

If it doesn't seem to affect her vision, I wouldn't worry about it. They say that there's a possibility of pox causing blindness if it infects the eye but my girls that have it on their eye lids seem to be just fine.
I hope your flock is on fast track to recovery.
