From what I understand, you can keep him but you cannot sell him without some kind of permit. At least that is how it is in Alabama. He looks like some of the Canadians that I had. With that situation the mother had been run over leaving a nest of about seven eggs. I brought them home in my lunch bag next thing I knew I had babies. Good luck with him. Mine loved to watch tv with me.
 
alright so i found a BEAUTIFUL sanctuary with all other ophaned canadian goslings that they have a huge indoor swimming pool and HUGE runs. they raise the geese teach them how to fly and let them on their way. i think that is best for the little one i have because her life is too precious to keep behind a cage and she will be happier with other and hopefully create some more babies every year.
