One got away

The Bob White Speces Will Very Often Return To The Rest Of The Birds--- I've Had Escapees Loose For 8-10 Days. But They Stay Close And Always Come Back To The Other Birds Calling. I Just Use A Lil Patience And A Fish Net---- Sooner Or Later They Will Be Hanging Around The Pen Long Enough For Me To Scoop Them Up And Back In They Go!

Coturnix Eh Not So Much.... I Am Not Sure If They Are Just More Free Ranging Or If They Get Picked Off By Cats Sooner....

both probably, but its not really free ranging, more like, out of the pen and go anywhere i can. actual free range is when birds are released to roam, but come back to the same place every night, but they have free choice of where to go

The ones that got our of our pen were coturnix. They seem to do just fine. They don't come back to be penned back up, but we do see them around. There are several dogs that run free and cats on the farm & they have done well. We also see lots of hawks & have a pair of bald eagles that fly over us.
