One has PIPPED!/HATCHED!!! Update...

Yea, I had been trying to move them around when I turned so they all incubated fairly evenly, but this lil guy was just ready to see the world. Now that its here, its acts like it STILL wants to see the world, but is this IT???? lol All that work and all I see is round walls and a flashing light. sigh
The incubator is really great, but the room cooled down this morn and it does fluctuate according to temps. Usually I am right on top of it, but since lil one was sitting on the water weasel display, I was just going by my other one, which is really not too accurate.

Several low temp periods could have delayed some a day or even two. Dont give up yet. How's the humidity?
They always, always want to lay across my digital thermometer, too, LOL. Maybe they think it's MOM!

Humidity is a steady 65%, thats as high as I can get it. It was 70 up til late last nite, but my towel wicks dried out, and I didnt want baby getting tangled in them, so I pulled them out. If no more come along soon, I will have to do some emergency humidity measures!
Yea, I have had some low temps, but usually no more than a hour or two at most and the very lowest was 98.2 until today.
Well this one popped out no prob, so I wont worry too much til about this time tomorrow. lol

That humidity is okay, though. When you pull the baby out, you can add some humidity then. Surely, a few eggs will hatch besides this one. Crossing fingers!

Oh, I dont think we have to worry yet, many that I candled look good.

Cyn, I was peering at the eggshell and its marked Lexie5, so I bet this one was the last collected and didnt have a chance to cool as much, to go dormant? It probably started incubating on my front porch that day!

Anyhow, its early yet.

Yep, that would have been the last one collected of hers. I thought it would be interesting to see which ones made it. I remember my first hatch. One hatched early on Day 20 and nothing happened till about midnight that night with #2 baby. She was bowling with those hatchmates' eggs, LOL.

Me too, Cyn

Still nothing yet, altho I took little Lily out of the incubator, she was too hot and starting to pant, so I was worried about her. I think she IS a girl, she squatted to go potty! lol Mom says if she is the only one that hatches, with all of us and what we have put into it, (including you and Jaynie with her advice plus the bator), that she will be Diamond Lil! I told her thats pretty good, since her momma is Lexie an sister is Lizzy!

She is fast asleep now, after a trying evening of lookin the world over. She does NOT like not being able to see whats happening!
Still no pips...c'mon babeeees!

Jill, if she's the only one that hatches, then we can try again now that the temps are better and maybe this time, you should put in a hold order for all packages the week you're getting eggs. That way, they have to hold the dang thing and not ignore the HOLD request on the front of the package.

Seriously, the more you hatch, the better it gets. Sometimes, though, even veteran hatchers have a bad hatch. SO many factors play into it. With this one, there was the shipping risk, then on top of that, them leaving it on your porch in the heat, then the bad eggs you were always having to take out from that other bunch... anything could be the cause or all of them together could be the cause. I'm still hoping more hatch for you, just that they're late.
