One of my bobwhite chicks hatched, is still in the bator (are they always born ready to sing their heart out? Oh my gosh! Cute as a button!) how long before any others, generally?. It's been 2 hours. It seems super active, but another one has pipped so I'm waiting. This is my first hatch ever. TIA :)

I had my first hatch about 2 weeks ago. I checked them around 8am and several shells were pipped. The first one hatched at 1pm then another about 15 minutes later. Most of them hatched that evening and quite a few the following morning. It's a waiting game. Make sure they fluff out fully in the incubator before moving to the brooder. It's hard to wait but they say the less you open the incubator the better it is for the rest of the eggs hatching. Congrats...
