I got 7 pullets in March, and all are laying except one. One of the original pullets I got ended up being a rooster, so I know that the 7 are definitely females (the rooster has tried them all out!). Two of mine are Americaunas, and one has started to lay, but the other hasn't yet. Is there a possibility that some hens don't lay eggs, or could she just be a late bloomer? I notice also that she isn't quite as filled out as the other ladies on the bottom end. She is about 6 months old now. Am I being impatient or could there be a problem? Everything else indicates she is perfectly normal. Thanks for any help.

Some take longer than others, she's still young yet, I'm sure you will see something in the next month or so. That breed doesn't lay a lot either.

It depends whether they are Easter Eggers, or Ameraucanas. I'm betting they came from a hatchery, and are actually Easter Eggers. I have found that EE are very good layers, while Ams are not so much. Though YMMV.
