One month old chicks ate rubber leg band.........

Your chick is a little stupid... I mean, so was mine. If it makes you feel better, one of mine gave me a heart attack because I picked up and it just flopped... then it woke up and tried to wiggle itself out of my hands.... stupid.

Chickens eat alot of weird things. It shouldn't have any trouble passing it, but anythings possible i guess. Maybe give it a little olive oil to help lubricate things.
Btw, I just got chicks with bands for the first time and they should be removed in the first 3 to 5 days, I'm told.

Thats not necessarily true, unless the leg bans will be to tight in that amount of time. Which could be the case cause chicks grow prett fast. The size would be the only reason you would have to remove or replace a leg band.

Well, the ones on my chicks were rubber bands and already quite tight. In fact, my chicks just came on Tuesday and I tried pulling one off tonight, and it didn't even stretch, so I'll have to wait and do it with my husband. Is that what your chickens had?
