One more newbie question about pasty butt

All four of my 3 day-old chicks are eating, drinking, and pooping. But three of them can't seem to get the poo off of their backsides without help. I'm worried that this is either a precursor to pasting up or will cause it somehow.

Should I be concerned about this?

it could be a precursor... don't worry about it though, if you notice it accumulating, then hold the chick and dip the bottom in some lukewarm water for a second or two, then try to dry it off with a towel and loosen it off. if it isn't too pasted yet, it will loosen easily. the "pasting" age shouldn't last too long and if you keep them clean for just a bit, you should make it over that time period.

Thanks! I'm still really enjoying sitting and watching them, so wiping their little bottoms a few times a day is no big deal. I just don't want to make matters worse somehow!
