One more time just to be sure....are these hens or roosters?

The bottom one is definitely a hen, the top might be as well although I'm not sure on that.

I am pretty sure they are both hens.
I know how you feel, i have 5 roosters already and i am still waiting to see what my other 24 chicks are...

It's a possibility that the first pic may be a hen. The only reason I'm not really sure is the tail carriage. What breed are these?

vtguania, they are Rhode Island Reds, and yep, the tail feathers on that one are what have me concerned. I have a Buff Orpington rooster I'm trying to rehome now....2 if this RIR turns out to be a rooster too.

I have six pullets (or what I thought were). They are 17 weeks old and have started changing in just a couple of days, all in the head area of course. Is it possible not to know that you have a rooster until this late???

At this point I'm not going to be convinced anything is a hen until it lays an egg.

True, sometimes they wait till the last minute before all the traits show up. I also have 4 RIR. Three I'm pretty sure are hens the other one is iffy, they're about 10 weeks old now.
