One Muscovy Duck Owners Experience

The OP of this message hasn't been on since 2014. :)

I don't have a pond either, I use kiddy pools, and separate containers for drinking water (although it becomes just as murky as the pool water within minutes). My free-ranging size is maybe an acre, probably less, and I currently have over 30 Muscovy, as well as about a dozen chickens and various other breeds of ducks.

If you do decide to get the 'scovies, I recommend a separate coop for them as they potentially could hurt the chickens and their poop is so watery it might be an issue for the chooks in the winter. If you have winter. I would also recommend getting at least three, in case anything happens to one.

As you can see by my tag, I love my 'scovies. They are personable and funny and so darn cute! If you get them young enough, they easily accept human interactions, but I've also, over a longer period of time, managed to 'tame down' adults that would originally run from me.

Any other questions, feel free to ask! We have tons of Muscovy fans on here! :D
