This is the first time I have hatched chicks, so I have my calendar marked with the days 1-21 and today is day 21 for me and I put my eggs in on the 22nd.
LOL, I assumed you meant the 22nd. If you had put them in on the 22nd at 7, the 23rd at 7 would be a full 24 hours, or the end of day one. The 24th at 7, end of day two.....keep counting like this to the 12th....the 12th at 7pm is the end of day 21, or a full 504 hours.
Count total hours and divide by 24 and that will give the number of whole days that have passed. Make sense?
Oh, I'm still laughing, believe me. Laughing and blushing. It has just been one of those *weeks* I guess. LOL. I don't know what else to say on the subject..ROFL..
Now I'm just hoping that they don't stick to their membranes after being on one side.
LOL. I'm losing my mind. Went through a whole day of stressing and worrying because this incubation period has gone much better than my past ones(varied temps) and I was hoping for a really good hatch.
I had one heck of a week, too. My daughter's birthday, the hatch, and voting on ratifying a contract for work all hit me within two days of each other.
LOL..I didn't even catch that. I was just going by "the day set (Saturday) will be the same as the hatch day (Saturday - 3 wks later)". I think you will be fine..continuing turning and let's see how it goes next week. :aww
They will probably be just fine. Maybe candle them in a couple days and check for movement, but I doubt you'll have a problem. People forget to turn eggs and they hatch. The only possible problem would be from the humidity... Good luck! Hope you have some babies next weekend!
