Last Friday and Saturday my 22 babies hatched, I tend to lose count and have to go recount when I need a number. So I have 12 eggs left of the eggs I put in 18 days ago today at about 10 am in the morning. I had a hard time getting the humidity to come down after the other babies hatched, took about 2 days to get it down and it was raining. Yesterday, when I finally think I have it under control and go to turn the eggs the humidity was 23% and one egg is pipping. I have raised the humidity to 50% but I'm worried about the other 11 eggs getting too much humidity.
Also, some of them are duck eggs. One of the duck eggs concerns me, it looks rotten and it now has a crack in it but I don't hear any noise in it when I tap my fingernail on the shell.
Today the eggs are supposed to go into lockdown but I am worried about the one egg that is pipping. Not sure how to handle one baby hatching and one egg looking rotten and 10 eggs that need to stay warm.
Any suggestions? Am I doing ok? Thanks, Sylvia
