one of my chickens died today

today one of my barr rock hens died today she was about six months old Ive had her since she was about a week old today i noticed she was listliss and not eating she was drinking water i put her up by the house in a dog kennel she wouldnt stand any more and wouldnt drink i gave her water with a droper her poop was very runny and green what do you think was wrong

So sorry about your little barred rock. Often times, it's really difficult to tell why a chicken dies. She probably had some kind of internal issues...could be internal laying, could be heart issues, could be many different things.

So sorry - you know i had the same thing several months ago - lost my favorite hen and it happened pretty quick - i was giving her anti biotics etc - she just went . I have learned the truth in the saying that some chickens deaths are somewaht of a mystery. No one else ever got sick or had any issues .....
